Lilac bushes line the edge of my driveway from the front corner of the house all the way back to the garage. I look forward to them each spring. This year I have a bumper crop of blooms and you can smell their sweet fragrance as you come out the back door. I cut some to bring into the house and to take to school. Their beauty is short lived, and I noticed that the petals are already beginning to turn brown and drop.
There is beauty all around us. We just need to take the time to notice the richness in our lives. These are the many things for which I am grateful.
