Daffodils

What a difference a week makes!  A week ago I was at my sister's house and there were just a few crocus blooming, along with the beginning buds of some daffodils and hyacinth.  Now there are daffodils everywhere.

I just love this time of year!  That is one of the great things about living in a part of the country where winters can be cold and dreary.  Spring is such a time of beauty and hope for the seasons ahead.

I am really grateful to live where I do.  Every now and then, I need to remind myself of that.

The weather has been so unusually warm that daffodils are already blooming around the neighborhood.

These yellow and white daffodils are blooming in my neighbor's back yard. I just leaned over the fence and took a shot. It's been a chilly and sometimes rainy week, so it is really nice to see these spots of color reminding us that spring really is here.

I guess it's finally spring. These are the first daffodils that I have noticed in my neighborhood. They are along the side of my neighbor's house. Last week I saw some behind the house which is next door to school, but I figured I shouldn't go traipsing around in their backyard. I might get into trouble that way.

My neighbors are probably beginning to wonder what I'm up to, sneaking into their yards with my camera, and snapping pictures of their plants. I noticed these daffodils growing along the side of my neighbor's house. I think spring is finally here. The temperature was all the way up to 86 degrees today. It has been in the seventies every day this week, and all of sudden the tree branches which had been bare are now budding out. I love the blase of color from the spring flowers, especially after such a long difficult winter.
