We have had day after day of inside recess. Sometimes I don't mind having everyone inside, because I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of watching the kids play. A favorite activity in our room is building domino runs. The kids will spend their entire recess patiently designing and setting up these domino structures. It is a criminal act to purposely tip over the dominoes that someone else is working on. When I announce that it's time to clean up, only the people who built the domino run are allowed to tip the first domino. It is fun to watch to see if they all fall as planned. These creative designs are truly a form of domino art.
There is beauty all around us. We just need to take the time to notice the richness in our lives. These are the many things for which I am grateful.

Photo #47: Under Construction

The Daily Shoot for today was: Things are always a-changin'. Make a photo that offers a snapshot of something being built, fabricated, or assembled.
It was another inside recess today, and my kids love to build with the Legos, dominoes and K-Nex. I really enjoy watching them collaborate on these buildings and vehicles. These K-nex used to belong to my son, when he was small. Over the years, they have provided many hours of fun for a multitude of kids. Worth every penny!
