Gourd Art

The Arts and Crafts Show is going on at the fairgrounds this weekend.  I haven't been there in a while, so I decided to go walk around today.  My friend Chris Arvizu and her friends P.J. and Tim were there.  Tim is a wood carver, as is Chris.  These carved and painted gourds are amazing.

Ornamental gourds have such interesting colors, shapes and textures, and they're a sure sign of fall.

It's been a really horrible day. I had to put my sweet Zoe to sleep today. I will write about her tomorrow, but I'm not up to it just yet. Once again I snapped a shot at Hy-vee. I saw this box of colorful gourds when I was on my way out of the store.
